  2. c. 265 BCRoot Before Branch

    Envoy of Qi presented credentials to the Dowager Queen Wei of Zhao with the king's letter. The queen set the letter aside unopened and asked, in order: the harvest, the people, and only then the king. Filed as ENTRY 024/64.

  3. 1958THE CAMPAIGN FILED TWICE

    The Great Leap Forward launched the same season from two offices: the water conservancy ministry logged wells dug and canals built; the metallurgy ministry logged furnaces erected and steel quotas met. The root report was filed first, then the branch. The harvest never caught up.
